We all have it—it’s in our DNA. While others can practice to match that level, Talent gives you the edge at the very beginning. It’s the difference in the starting line.
2. Skill – What You Build
While Talent is natural, Skill is developed. It is shaped by practice, knowledge, and experience.
Skills fall into three categories:
- Business Skills: accounting, marketing, economics, legal, technology.
- Personal Skills: motivation, communication, innovation, discipline.
- Interpersonal Skills: leadership, negotiation, team building, consensus building.
Skills are learned, refined, and multiplied over time. The good news? Unlike Talent, you can always acquire new Skills.
3. Purpose – Your Lighthouse
Finally, the most powerful driver: Purpose.
Purpose is not just passion—it’s the guiding light that gives direction to your imagination and energy. Passion may fade, but Purpose keeps you anchored.
Your Purpose is the why behind what you do. It’s the reason you’ll stay motivated even in difficult times. Once you discover your Purpose, passion will naturally follow.
